January 6th, 2015, Shanghai --The recently held 2014 “Ideals & Contributions” Event in Shanghai endowed honor upon Yuan Pengbin, Chief Engineer of Hilong, as both a Shanghai and national model innovator with “Ideals & Contributions”, for his remarkable achievements in the development and promotion of new drilling tool products. The Shanghai Petroleum Tubing Engineering Technical Research Institute, under Yuan’s leadership, was awarded Excellent Innovation Team.
“What Yuan and his team have achieved mirrors Hilong’s explorations under and results of its strategy in technological innovations. They have made significant contributions to the sustainable development of the oilfield equipment sector of Hilong,” said Executive President Wang Tao, “We will stick to the technological innovation strategy in our business units including oilfield equipment, oil services, tube technology and services, and offshore engineering, in order to promote the sustainable and healthy development of Hilong.”
As a leading technical talent of Shanghai, Yuan obtained an excellent result in the 2014 Shanghai Leading Talents Mid-term Evaluation. The highly torsion-resistant drill pipeline project of which he is in charge won the Achievement Award from the China Industry-University-Research Institute Collaboration Association. The Petroleum Tubing Engineering Technical Research Institute and the academician & expert workstation which he is responsible for were graded as excellent in the Shanghai evaluation. Under his leadership, the Talent Cultivation Joint Lab co-founded by Hilong together with the East China University of Science & Technology, Shanghai University and Tongji University is one of those recognized by Shanghai Zhangjiang Hi-tech Industrial Development Zone.
