(October 21, 2015, Shanghai) On October 20, 2015, Hilong officially unveiled new coatings for marine and offshore engineering at the Hilong Coatings Roadshow held in Shanghai. The presented products were new coatings with high technology and strategic prospect, following the industrial protective coating materials presented in the past April.
At the promotional conference, Hilong introduced in detail and presented to customers a series of new coatings independently researched and developed by Hilong, such as marine coatings, offshore engineering coatings , industrial protective coatings and antistatic tank lining. Those products, for instance, the HilonCare antifoulings, the HilonUprimer universal primers and the HilonGuard 2700 waterborne epoxy coatings were the highlights of the conference.
Ren Weidong, Vice President of Hilong Group and Director of Hilong Petrochemical Research Institute said Hilong led the way domestically in the variety and integrity of maritime coating. The waterborne epoxy coatings gave full expression to the direction that Hilong will persist in developing eco-friendly coatings . Offshor engineering coatings which has fulfilled all requirements of the Norsok M-501 Standard offers brand new options for customers in terms of high-end heavy-duty coatings in the field of offshore engineering.
Zhang Jun, President of Hilong, delivered a welcome speech at the conference, saying, “The past ten years saw Hilong’s efforts in coating research and development, and bridging the gap in the area of anti-corrosion for oilfield. In particular, Hilong made significant breakthroughs and was widely recognized around the world in respect of anti-corrosion technology for drill pipes, tubing andpipelines as well as paint application. The coating products for marine and offshoreengineering presented here represent the first step of Hilong’s long-term strategic plan, heralding the access to a higher level of coating. Offshore oil, the maritime industry and marine economy will foster the development of the world. Hilong will, as always, spare no efforts to provide better products and service for our customers with a strong passion for science and technology and a responsible attitude towards products.”
Participants in this promotional conference included over 100 corporations such as Sinopec, China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) Offshore Engineering, China National Offshore Oil Corporation (CNOOC), China Shipping Bulk Carrier Co., Ltd., China Shipping Container Lines Co., Ltd. (CSCL), China Shipbuilding Industry Corporation (CSIC) and other major classification societies as well as 150-odd guests from scientific research institutions. After the conference, the guests were shown around Hilong Petrochemical Research Institute, Shanghai Shine New Materials Company and the pipeline coatings facility.
